On August 28, a roundtable discussion on "Ways to Improve the Road Network in the Republic of Congo" was held in Brazzaville with the support of the international association GlobUs.
Invited experts assessed the current state of the road network and discussed ways to improve road quality. A key issue was raised: the rapid deterioration of road quality immediately after their commissioning.
"Maintaining roads in good condition requires a thorough preliminary survey of the construction site and continuous monitoring of the road surface after commissioning," noted engineer Altes Ofulu.
At the end of the discussion, participants called for greater oversight in the design, implementation, and monitoring of infrastructure projects.
