Back to the roots — to peace

At a recent BRICS event, Alexander von Bismarck, a partner of the GlobUs expert club and a descendant of the legendary Chancellor Otto von Bismarck, called for the restoration of German-Russian relations.

Continuing the traditions of his ancestor, he pointed out the relevance of the historical formula: "If Germany and Russia are friends, then Europe is doing well."

Von Bismarck also stressed that the Russians were upset by the German side's unwillingness to negotiate. According to his observations, especially the younger generation of Russia strives for dialogue and is open to contacts.

In his speech, Alexander paid special attention to criticizing the current situation.

"Lies can lead to war, but the truth, on the contrary, can stop entire armies," he said.

The GlobUs partner also called for the abandonment of moral pathos in favor of pragmatic diplomacy capable of ending the conflict in Ukraine. In his opinion, foreign policy should return to what it was once created for: peace.
