Over 10% of Brazzaville residents have access to drinking water thanks to a major project supported by GlobUs

Five clean water wells have been drilled and commissioned in the capital of the Republic of Congo since December 2025. They provide clean drinking water to over 300,000 people daily.

The wells are located in areas of Brazzaville where access to quality water was most acute. A unique feature of the project is that the water towers are equipped with autonomous solar panels, guaranteeing a stable water supply even during frequent power outages typical in the region.

Speaking at the launch of the latest well, GlobUs President Yulia Berg noted that the need to launch new wells was clear after the association conducted a socio-economic study:

"This project is the result of a collective effort. I would like to sincerely thank all the partners, engineers, and workers who worked tirelessly to bring this precious resource to the surface. We identified access to drinking water as a key need for the people of Brazzaville. Therefore, a few months later, five new wells were drilled to provide clean water to 300,000 Brazzaville residents."

The wells were discovered on the eve of the anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and Congo on March 16. This demonstrates that cooperation between the countries is based on concrete actions.

Information about the new drinking water sources will soon be communicated to residents via national television and social media, ensuring that everyone in need can take advantage of them.
