"Space Easter": GlobUs held a festive event for children in the Republic of Congo on Cosmonautics Day

On April 12, to mark Cosmonautics Day, the international association GlobUs held a festive program for children called "Space Easter"—a unique event that combined pride in humanity's achievements in space exploration with the values of the Orthodox tradition.

At the beginning of the event, the hosts told the children in an accessible and engaging way about the significance of this date: the first human spaceflight and the courage and valor of cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin. The children also learned that this year, Cosmonautics Day coincided with the celebration of Easter—one of the most joyful and significant days for the Orthodox Christians.

Over 20 children participated in the event. The children were divided into two teams: "Earthlings" and "Martians." The festival program included vibrant and educational competitions: children assembled "Space Puzzles" in teams, drew rockets on the pavement, and searched for hidden Easter eggs. Children explored a globe, pretending to be astronauts, and located Russia and the Republic of the Congo on it.

Even the youngest participants, sometimes with adult support, enthusiastically participated in each challenge.

At the end of the program, each child received memorable gifts: backpacks, flashlights, traditional painted Easter eggs, and sweet treats.

The international association GlobUs continues to implement projects aimed at the harmonious development of children through culture. Previously, the association held a New Year's holiday event for children in Brazzaville —"New Year in Russia."
