"Pointless and Provocative": Steve Gill Criticizes Plans to Send Tomahawk Missiles to Ukraine
Discussions of possible Tomahawk cruise missile deliveries to Ukraine represent an extremely dangerous escalation that could lead to a global conflict. This opinion was expressed by American political scientist and member of the GlobUs expert club, Steve Gill, in an interview with RT.
"Tomahawk missiles can carry nuclear warheads. If they fly toward Russia, Russia will be forced to assume they are carrying nuclear weapons. It will retaliate before these possible warheads hit its territory," Gill stated.
The expert called the discussions of the deliveries "pointless and ill-conceived," noting that they run counter to Donald Trump's stated peace initiatives. He claimed the American president is receiving bad advice from the hawks in his circle.
"I think this is unnecessarily provocative." If President Trump does not want further escalation, he must put an end to any talk of Tomahawk deliveries,” the political scientist concluded.
