We continue the series of publications about the exhibition "Global Transformation: Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow". Today, the world is experiencing complex and contradictory events. The struggle between destructive and constructive trends is gaining momentum, and the world is at a crossroads.
Which path will be chosen "today"?
Today, the world is experiencing a period of turbulence. On the one hand, there is a sharp aggravation of geopolitical contradictions, escalation of conflicts and increased economic pressure. On the other hand, new alliances are being formed, such as BRICS, and attempts are being made to build a more equitable system of international relations.
At the same time, information technologies are playing an increasingly important role in the modern world. Just remember the Chinese AI project DeepSeek, which at one point brought down the American markets with the cheapness of its production and greater efficiency in operation (the model processes a million found input contexts on request, while American platforms can only handle 128 thousand).
However, on the one hand, new technologies open up new opportunities for development and progress, on the other hand, they can be used to spread disinformation, incite hatred and control the population.
Amid these global contradictions, crises and new opportunities, the voices of peoples fighting for justice and sovereignty are becoming increasingly louder. The Pan-African movement, the struggle for independence, protests against economic inequality – all this is evidence that people are no longer willing to tolerate injustice.
The voice of the people must be heard, and their desire for a just world must become a guide for political leaders and the world community.
