Franco-Russian war correspondent Christelle Néant held a master class for future journalists in Congo

An online meeting between students of the GlobUs media school and Franco-Russian war correspondent and deputy editor of the International Reporters, Christelle Néant, took place in Brazzaville.

The event was part of a previously announced series of media seminars aimed at introducing young professionals of the Congo to modern standards and best practices in journalism.

What was discussed at the meeting?

— Christelle spoke about her work in hot spots, the main principles, and challenges of the profession.

— The expert emphasized the importance of conveying truthful information to the audience and, through her own example, demonstrated how a personal blog can help people.

— Néant gave the students practical advice and answered their questions.

Christelle Néant is a journalist with unique experience. Her interest in the events in Donbas appeared in 2014, and in 2015, Néant began collaborating with the international agency DONi, translating materials about the actual events in Donbas for the Western audience. Passionate about her work, in 2016, Christelle moved to Donetsk, where she has worked as a war correspondent for many years, becoming for many locals not just a journalist, but a person always ready to defend the truth.
