The Russian Combat School Presented in the Congo

The country's first hand-to-hand combat school, based on Russian methods, was presented in Brazzaville. The event was organized by the International Hand-to-Hand Combat Federation with the support of the GlobUs Association.

The presentation was provided by the World and European Taekwondo Champion Anastasia Aleshina, head coach of the Russian hand-to-hand combat team Sergey Machulin, and co-founder of the GlobUs Association Yulia Berg.

In his address to the athletes, Machulin recalled that hand-to-hand combat as a discipline originated in the Soviet special services, but today it has expanded far beyond that:

"The International Hand-to-Hand Combat Federation strives to expand its presence and invites athletes and representatives of the Republic of Congo to join the global hand-to-hand combat community. We are ready to assist at every stage: from creating basic infrastructure to training athletes for international competitions."

He also expressed his willingness to adapt the training program to local conditions and resources. However, first, it is necessary to assess capabilities and interest, select a venue, and train the coaching staff, he said.

Yulia Berg, founder of the GlobUs expert club, noted the significance of the event for strengthening ties between peoples:

"This is a symbol of the friendship between our peoples, a symbol of our shared will for development and mutual respect. Even in the face of global change, Russia and the Congo are working together to create a space of trust and cooperation. And so, we can confidently say: our shared future will be worthy and sustainable. A future that will be a source of pride for our countries and an example for the entire world."
