"The Partisans of Truth Unite": RT.Doc Festival Held in Spain Despite Sanctions and Threats

The documentary film festival "RT.Doc: Time of Our Heroes" took place in Madrid and Barcelona. Audiences saw films about Donbas, Lebanon, and Iran—the very same reports that European mainstream media systematically suppress. The event took place against the backdrop of the adoption of the 20th round of sanctions against Russia, which, among other things, bans mirror sites for RT, Sputnik, and other Russian media.

The festival was hosted by Spanish journalist Dr. Enrique Refoyo, a member of the GlobUs expert club. He presented the documentaries and spoke with the audience, who, despite the risks, came to learn the truth.

"Yes, there is a risk of reprisals for participating in such an event. But we are no longer concerned about their reprisals. It's time for them to start trembling," Refoyo stated.

The festival audience reacted with passion and emotion.

"People need to see the part of reality that usually doesn't reach Europe because it's completely cut off. We're being fed completely false and misleading information," noted one participant.

Another viewer added:

"It's very important to tell the truth, because Russia has always been close to the hearts of Europeans. We just want to be able to say what we think."

The footage from Donbas made a particular impression on the audience.

"I feel immense pain because the children who suffered and died could have been mine. Therefore, it's crucial that everyone sees this footage. It's the people who must stop the war," a viewer shared.

The organizers emphasized that bans and sanctions only convince people that the truth is being hidden from them. Refoyo concluded:

"The heroes are all of you who came here, who watched these documentaries. This is our time for heroes."
