Children from Congo celebrated the New Year in Russian traditions

On December 27, the international expert club GlobUs organized a festive event for children in Brazzaville – "New Year in Russia." The celebration brought together young guests to introduce them to the rich cultural traditions of the country.

The children met the main charecters of the Russian holiday – Father Frost and his granddaughter, Snegurochka. They learned why the fir tree became the main New Year tree and the unique features of Russian winter festivities.

The fairytale guests held fun interactive competitions, quizzes, and workshops. Russian songs were sung, and the participants enjoyed learning simple dance moves.

The event was followed by a gala banquet, where the children sampled traditional Russian treats. Each child received a sweet gift and a souvenir from Russia.

"All over the world, people are now celebrating special days, unique to each culture, but united by a belief in miracles, the special magic of the moment, and the fulfillment of wishes. May this belief in miracles persist for as long as possible, and may wishes become goals, and goals become results," said Yulia Berg, founder of the association, congratulating the guests.
